Forever Dog to Present VOLCANO TOWN, Part 8 at The PIT, 8/29
Forever Dog Productions has made a name for itself in the New York comedy/theater world through the ambition, scope, and quality of its projects. Its latest undertaking, Volcano Town, is no exception. A 12-part play that blends dark comedy, music, political drama, and fantasy, Volcano Town tells the epic story of Zoar, PA, a corrupt mining town full of mystery that may or may not be on the verge of being destroyed by a giant volcano.
With over 40 characters and a plot that takes audiences from the inner sanctums of city hall to the neon recesses of karaoke dive bars to the bowels of Hell itself, Volcano Town pushes the boundaries of what theater can do and what a comedy show can be.
Volcano Town Part 8 will be performed for one night only on August 29, 2015, 11pm at The Peoples Improv Theater, 123 E 24th St, New York, NY 10010. Buy tickets online at www.volcanotown.com.
All are welcome, both Volcano Town regulars and first timers. And those who miss Part 8 will still have four opportunities to experience the bizarre magic of Volcano Town, with Part 9 showing on September 26th, Part 10 on October 24th, Part 11 on November 28th, and Part 12 on December 19th.
Volcano Town was created by writers/directors Brett Boham, Joe Cilio, and Alex Ramsey, and brought to life by a cast that features some of New York's most promising upandcoming theatrical and comedic talent, including Andrew Block, Allison Frasca, Hallie Haas, Gili Nir, Michael Ring, John Zachary Townsend, Jenny Jaffe, Matt Rogers, Jacob Wilson, Gabriel Laks, and more.
