Arts at The Park, a component of the Park Avenue Christian Church (known as "The Park"), is pleased to present The Homosexual Agenda by playwright Robb Leigh Davis as part of The Park's celebration of Gay Pride Month. The performances will be staged at The Park, 1010 Park Avenue at 85th Street.

Performances will take place tonight, June 13th at 8 pm ; Friday, June 15th at 8 pm; Saturday, June 16th at 8 pm; Wednesday, June 20th at 8 pm ; Thursday, June 21st at 8pm ; Friday, June 22nd at 8 pm ; and Saturday, June 23rd at 8 pm.

On the evening before a national "Equality Conference," a popular Senator up for re-election attends a meeting with a powerful gay rights organization. This is to be the evening when all the pieces come together; for the Senator's next term and the organization's launch onto the national stage. Everything goes exactly as planned...until it doesn't.

With a cast of seven - including a call-in radio show announcer whose program is designed to generate controversy - and a minimal set, the script examines the potential price of waiting for politicians to evolve, and the ways in which inter-generational conflict eventually leads to a battle over the correct tactics for advancement and/or acceptance. It's the story of a disaffected populace, protest-as-means-of-revolt, and the battle for "second-class citizens" to be treated as equals under the law.

Tickets: $18 at SmartTix.com or at the door.
