On Sunday, September 18th, 2016, New York based band Founders will perform at
Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen St.) at 10 pm on Stage 3. This concert will feature Founders new program, Under The Rainbow, which showcases some of the greatest hits of all time from the U.K. and U.S., spanning over 4 centuries.

Though connected by a common language, these countries are separated by a revolution and oceanic divide. This divide affected composers differently on each continent. The program emphasizes their different musical journeys, while highlighting the influence they had on each other. From Handel to the Beatles, Louis Armstrong to Radiohead, "Under the Rainbow" encompasses great classical music, jazz, rock, and the blues.

Described as "a mashup between Punch Brothers and Kronos Quartet" FOUNDERS is a songwriting collective composed of New York City's most dynamic classical musicians. Their pieces range from Appalachian Folk originals, to Radiohead covers, to art songs using famous poetry. Their radical variety is prevalent on their debut album You & Who. In addition to their innovative original compositions, the group specializes in the reimagining of a large multitude of genres, which will be featured in their set at Rockwood Music Hall.
