"13 The Musical" is a grown-up story about growing up! When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors. With a memorable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, "13" is an hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and often where you least expect it.

The cast of "13 The Musical" includes: Mikaela Belsky, Michael Fanelli, Rachel Geller, Elena Golub, Ben Hirschhorn, Josh Hirschhorn, Emma Kantor, Kaci Kaplan, Lucas Katz, Parris Kelly, Denis Mazariegos, Jonathan Rockhill, Bella Scarselli, Lilly Sterenberg, Brooke Strutin and Jeremy Werner.
The Children's Acting Academy, which recently produced a successful engagement of "Seussical The Musical," was founded in 1972 and was created for talented youngsters who are interested in learning how to act and sing from industry professionals or who wish to build self confidence in their abilities to succeed in life.

The academy utilizes the Stanislavski, Strassberg and Meisner methods to teach acting. Students learn to behave logically and naturally. Concentration and relaxation are emphasized through sensory exercises, scene work and improvisation. Proper speech and voice are emphasized during every class session. While acting and singing classes are done in groups, there are opportunities to receive one-on-instruction.

Acting classes feature instruction, observation and performance from professionals working on Broadway and on TV and they also experience the business of show business by meeting with agents and personal managers, touring TV studios and working on auditioning with theatre veterans.

The Children's Acting Academy has two branches, one in Manhattan at 131 West 72nd Street and the second in New Rochelle at 529 Main St. 2nd Floor. For more information about The Children's Acting Academy and its programs, including its Summer activities, visit www.childrensactingacademy.com.
