CRY OF THE MOUNTAIN Plays 2012 United Solo Festival at Theatre Row, 10/14
One performer, twelve characters, and a banjo. Verbatim stories about mountaintop removal gathered from interviews conducted by the actor in the mountains of Appalachia. Coal miners, mining executives, artists, hillbillies, scholars, and activists reflect on the coal industry's best kept secret. CRY OF THE MOUNTAIN, a documentary play about mountaintop removal in Appalachia, will play as part of the United Solo Festival, October 14th, 2012.
