Xmas in Las Vegas, a new musical based on the play by Jack Richardson, will receive a staged reading on Friday, May 6th at the Davenport Studio at 3 PM

Featured in the cast are Klea Blackhurst (A Tree Grows in Brooklyn), Susan Cella (Fiddler on the Roof), Mark Chmiel (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang), Adam Halpin (Glory Days), Joel H. Jones, Megan McGinnis (Les Miserables), and William Youmans (Finian's Rainbow).

The show has music by Tony Finno, lyrics by Larry Rosler, with a book by Joe Bravaco. Michael Unger directs.
Xmas in Las Vegas is the story of Edward T. Wellspot, a professional gambler who comes to the Olympus Hotel and Casino each Christmas, hoping to beat the house. This year Edward has more problems than usual. He's on the biggest losing streak of his life and his family is more dysfunctional than ever. All seems hopeless until he meets the mysterious Mrs. Periapt, who has the Midas touch. Suddenly, the world is Edward's oyster-or so it seems.

Set in the early 1960s, the show unfolds in the casino, with a score that captures the spirit of the Rat Pack era. Scott Ethier serves as musical director.

The Davenport Studio is located at 250 West 49th Street, Suite 302.
