Articulate Theatre Company has announced the NYC premiere production of Jenny Connell Davis' DRAGON, directed by Cat Parker. DRAGON will play a limited engagement as part of the 4th Annual Planet Connection Theatre Festivity at the Robert Moss Theatre (440 Lafayette St., 3rd Floor). Performances begin Wednesday, May 29 and continue through Monday, June 17.

What if dragons really are real? What if love really is forever? Dragon explores the mythical world of love among dragons, alongside the challenge of living with regrets in the world of humans. On a hot stretch of land in Texas, a boy befriends a wounded dragon, while in a blizzard in Minnesota, a woman opens the door to a fire-breathing revelation. Spanning two moments in time and space, heat and cold, magic and the mundane, Dragon is 'kitchen sink meets ancient myth' in the interwoven tale(s) of a boy, a dragon, and a dangerous love triangle.

The production stars Maeve Yore (Little Dog Laughed, Sister Cities, Picasso) as Woman, stars Joe Roseto (Salome with Al Pacino, Partytime at LaMaMa, Mad Men) as Man, stars Katie Mack (Trouble: A Rock Musical, Comedy of Errors) as Dragon Girl, stars Daniel Kublick (Waiting for Godot, All the Indifferent Children of the Earth) as Dragon, stars James Leighton (Crystal Skillman's WILD, Much Ado About Nothing) as Loser Boy, and stars Tony Ponella (Honk!, Lost Boy) as Boy.

The production features scenic design by award-winning TV/Film/Theatre production designer George Allison, costume design by NYIT Award winning Karen Ann Ledger, and lighting design by Tony nominated Dennis Parichy. Bronwen Carson is the choreographer and Liz Elise Richards is the stage manager.
