It is 4th of July weekend in Bell County, Texas. Tiffany has been there for brother Darryl every step of the way since his release from the psych ward. But when she brings girlfriend Jamie home for the weekend, Tiffany finds herself in a fight she didn't see coming. With the fireworks of family and pride and independence at stake, STRANGE COUNTRY examines how far we are willing to go to win.

STRANGE COUNTRY stars Sidney Williams (Stephen Adly Guirgis's Little Flower of East Orange, dir. Philip Seymour Hoffman), Vanessa Vache (The Amoralists' Utility), and Bethany Geraghty (In The Soundless Awe). The production team includes Brian Dudkiewicz (sets), Samantha Rose Lind (costumes), Michael O'Connor (lighting), Andy Evan Cohen (sound) and Samantha Schaffer (associate scenic designer and props).

Jay Stull is a director and playwright. His recent New York directing credits include Utility by Emily Schwend (The Amoralists at Rattlestick), Take Me Back by Emily Schwend (Walkerspace), Leave Me Green by Lisi DeHaas (Gym at Judson), and Enter at Forest Lawn and Rantoul and Die by Mark Roberts (The Amoralists). He was a Directing Fellow with Clubbed Thumb and a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab and The Civilians R&D Group.
