An Anonymous Contributor, an original solo show about the shadowy world of academic ghostwriting, is returning to Stage Left Studio (214 W 30th Street, 6th floor) this June before touring to the Edmonton Fringe Festival in Canada in August. Performance dates for Stage Left are this weekend, June 26th, 27th, and 28th at 7:30 pm, while the Fringe in Edmonton takes place on August 13th-23rd. The show is written and performed by Adriana Jones and directed by Patrice Miller.

In the show, Adriana Jones takes on the character of an academic ghostwriter-a woman who has written hundreds of papers, but whose name won't be found on a single one. At turns darkly comic and piercingly vulnerable, An Anonymous Contributor is a richly imagined journey into the morally ambiguous world of an academic ghostwriter.

The play brings a fresh perspective to the national conversation about student loan debt and the proliferation of unpaid internships, while also exposing audiences to a world that is rarely portrayed on stage.

The show is being produced at Stage Left as a co-production between Cheryl King Productions and Apperception Productions, the latter of which is a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas. Apperception is currently running an Indiegogo campaign to fund the international premiere of the show in Canada, which can be found here. To learn more about Apperception, visit their Fractured Atlas page.

Tickets for the show at Stage Left are 22 dollars in advance and 25 dollars at the door, with discounts available for students and seniors (with valid ID.) Students should use code "student" when purchasing in advance and seniors should use code "senior". Advance tickets can be purchased online at the Stage Left website.
