AIA Theatrical Productions presents Senior Moment, a new comedy by playwright and amNewYork/Newsday columnist Mike Vogel starting November 18th at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre for a three week engagement running through December 4th. Directed by award winning director Donald Brenner, the cast features Bob Ari* Brad Bellamy*, Ian Lowe*, Amanda Kristin Nichols*and Marina Re*. (*Member of Actor's Equity)

After decades of a passionless marriage, widower Jack Korman's mood brightens considerably when he discovers his new senior home has a 4 to 1 female ratio. His straight-laced yuppie lawyer son Larry is stunned when his dad's demands switch from prune juice and ginkoba to cologne and condoms. Jack hooks up with Violet, a vibrant soul mate his age. But when a much younger, immigrant health aide also pursues him, Jack faces an unexpected, life-altering choice. Offering a hard, humorous look at life choices and parent-child relationships, Senior Moment is an eminently relatable comedy for baby boomers, millennials and others facing decisions about their own parents.

Mike Vogel has had full-length and one-act plays produced nationwide. His dramedy March Madness was successfully produced Off-Broadway in 2012 at Abingdon Theatre to full houses and strong reviews. His short play Kiss Her Goodbye was produced in New York, North Carolina and Florida. In addition to playwriting Mike writes a popular weekly opinion column for amNewYork and is a regular contributor to Newsday. He has also written opinion pieces for the Daily News and New York Post. He's a member of the Dramatist's Guild.
