The Off-Broadway hit play, The Bench starring Robert Galinsky, directed by Jay O. Sanders, is taking the show on the road to play LA's Hudson Guild Theater (6539 Santa Monica Blvd, LA, CA 90038) for a limited six-week run beginning October 4 - November 9, 2018). Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by visiting www.plays411.com/thebench.

Based on true stories, The Bench, set in urban decay and rubble, explores the emotional anguish of five homeless characters and the catastrophic hysteria surrounding AIDS in the 1980's. Funny, touching and ultimately heartbreaking, Galinsky plays five characters "with flawless precision and gusto," as they interact around the bench. In addition to the stage, Robert Galinsky has performed, The Bench at NY's infamous Rikers Island Penitentiary, where he is a teaching artist.

The Bench sold-out its nine-week run at New York's historic Cherry Lane Theatre and an additional 30 weeks at The East Village Playhouse and features art work and set design by Daphne Arthur with an original soundscape by Deep Singh. This production is being presented by Golden Globe Nominated Chris Noth, Drama Desk, Obie, Olivier Award winner Barry Shabaka Henley and is produced by Tony Award winning producer Terry Schnuck, with general management by Niko Associate's Jeff Chrzczon.
