The Vineyard Theatre continues its series of one-night-only readings of notable plays from its acclaimed history in celebration of the company's 30th Anniversary. The next two readings will be PTERODACTYLS by Nicky Silver, which will be performed Monday, December 10, 2012 at 7 PM; and A BOY AND HIS SOUL, written and performed by Colman Domingo, which will be performed on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7 PM. Both readings will be performed at The Vineyard (108 E. 15 St., between Irving Place and Union Square East). Tickets for each are priced at $75 (which includes a pre-show toast in The Vineyard lobby) and are available by calling The Vineyard box office at 212-353-0303, or online at www.vineyardtheatre.org. Proceeds from the readings benefit The Vineyard's 2012-2013 productions and programs.

Nicky Silver's acclaimed and influential 1993 play PTERODACTYLS was the winner of both the Kesselring and Oppenheimer Awards. It was the first play of nine by Mr. Silver presented by The Vineyard (the most recent being last season's THE LYONS, which transferred to Broadway last spring). PTERODACTYLS was one of the first plays on the American stage to deal with a family's response to their son who has AIDS, and showcases Mr. Silver's unforgettable dark humor. Casting to be announced shortly for the reading on Monday December 10, 2012.

Colman Domingo (PASSING STRANGE, THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS) who is currently starring in his new play WILD WITH HAPPY at The Public (running through November 18) returns to The Vineyard for one night only with his solo show A BOY AND HIS SOUL on Monday, January 7, 2013. This hilarious and moving play, which opened at The Vineyard in the fall of 2009, looks at his life growing up in 1970's West Philadelphia, and his family's relationship to soul music.

In addition, The Vineyard season long celebration will culminate with a spectacular evening for its 30th Anniversary Gala on March 18, 2013. The evening will highlight the company's artistic history with special guests and artists who have been a part of its 30 year life and have graced The Vineyard stage.
