"Misty Roses" Wednesday, February 24, 2010; 7:30pm - $5 at The Tank at 354 W. 45th Street, New York, NY 10036

A, C, E, to 42nd Street; 1, 2, 3, S, 7 to Time Square

Neo-Fluxus freak out? Absurdist action art? The ghost of a soft G.G. Allin as a drag queen from a distant planet? Sugarlife transcends any movement classification.

SUGARLIFE explores notions of performance, identity, and sexuality through entertaining and often absurd live interactions. Hilarious as well as scary- whether charging the air with electronic blips or singing a celestial soprano over acoustic guitar blossoms- Sugarlife is a sonic shaman where change is the only constant.

Sugarlife is a performance/music artist living in New York City.

In the artist's own words:

"It's like watching a cheap live daytime soap where the main female character unravels on stage . There is usually some sort of molting which follows....Imagine if the United States became a third world country and people had to resort to living room theater or decrepit mall theater for entertainment ...I'm trying to make manifest the subconscious imagery that inhabits the world of dreams and film."
