The Blue Riders will present Jason Pizzarello's (When I Had Three Sisters with Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab; Saving the Greeks: One Tragedy at a Timewith Push Productions) post-apocalyptic drama, After People Like You for a limited engagement, today, December 11-14 at the East 13th Street Theater(Classic Stage Company, 136 East 13th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue).

The production will be directed by Anna Brenner (The Hotel Colors at Bushwick Starr; The Misanthrope with undergroundzero) and feature Lily Dorment, Maria McConville* (NYIT Award, Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role for Seth Bauer's First Time Out of Bounds), Hubert Point-Du Jour* (The Model Apartment with Primary Stages; A Map of Virtue with 13P), and Davy Raphaely* (4000 Miles at Philadelphia Theater Company). The creative team will include Set Design by Bianca Anon (Eternal at Incubator Arts Project), Costume Design by Kristin Fiebig (A Doctor In Spite of Himself with Yale Rep), Sound Design by Elizabeth Atkinson (2011 Prague Quadrennial Exhibitor), and Lighting Design by Yi Zhao (The Hotel Colors at Bushwick Starr). Four estranged friends meet again on a late night subway ride through an apocalyptic New York City. Their secrets and sufferings eventually emerge in this gripping and spare play about people struggling to trust the goodness they once so easily possessed.

After People Like You will play a limited engagement at the East 13th Street Theater (CSC, 136 East 13th Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue) today, December 11, 12, 13 & 14 at 7pm. JASON PIZZARELLO (Playwright) recently developed Half Right, an army play with Michelle Bossy in the Fordham Alumni Company, and When I Had Three Sisters with Lila Neugebauer in the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab. Other plays include: Once There Was a Boy, (finalist, Princess Grace Award; finalist, O'Neill Playwrights Conference); InsideOut, (HERE Arts Center); and Saving the Greeks: One Tragedy at a Time, (Push Productions). Fourteen of his plays are published by Playscripts, Inc. and have received over 500 productions around the world. Jason is a graduate of Fordham University's Playwriting Program and also proudly serves with the NY Army National Guard.

ANNA BRENNER (Director) Directing credits include: The Hotel Colors (Bushwick Starr), The Glass Menagerie (Theatreworks Colorado Springs), Crime and Punishment and The Idiot (Classic Stage Company), Peter Gil-Sheridan's Cockfight (PlayPenn and Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab), Stone Open Housewith Laurie Anderson), The Misanthrope (PS 122, undergroundzero Audience Award). Anna adapted and directed Robert Altman's 3 Women (Columbia Stages), Chekhov's Anyuta (Philadelphia Shakespeare), and devised Terra Incognita (CPR), Disquiet (Living Theatre), Are We Here Yet? (PS122). Anna directs and teaches at SUNY Purchase and is the Artistic Associate at Classic Stage Company. Resident Artist of undergroundzero, Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab alum, MFA Columbia University, BA University of Chicago.
