Target Margin Theater, who last year dedicated their season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright Gertrude Stein, will launch their 2015-2016 Season with an encore presentation of Reread Another based on Gertrude Stein's "Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School." Directed by David Herskovits, the three member cast will feature Clare Barron, Purva Bedi, and Ugo Chukwu. Performances begin Thursday, September 24, 2015 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn). Target Margin Theater revives Reread Another - performed only twice before, during the TMT LAB Series - the critically-acclaimed, fun, fast-moving new work directed by David Herskovits. What's in it? Love and Loss and Holiday gifts; the remembrance of music past; we climb mountains; Clare plays Erik Satie on the piano; the leaves do fall.

The creative team will include Ásta Bennie Hostetter (Set/Costumes), Jennifer Reiser (Lights), Jesse Freedman (Sound Demon), with Flora Vassar (Stage Manager), Emilyn Kowaleski (Assistant Director), and Ann Marie Dorr (Production Manager).

Reread Another, part of The Brick 2015 / 2016 Resident Artist Program, will play the following performance schedule: September 24-28, September 30-October 3, October 7-10, and October 16 @ 7:30 p.m.; October 17 @ 4:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $30. A special Benefit Performance is set for Monday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. with tickets priced at $100. Tickets for all performances are available at www.targetmargin.org or www.bricktheater.com.

Permission for the text has been granted by the Estate of Gertrude Stein, through its Literary Executor, Mr. Stanford Gann, Jr. of Levin & Gann, P.A.

Target Margin Theater, seeks continuously to expand its conception of what can take place in a theater. They celebrate difference and are drawn to experiences that are other, alien, and new: "all things counter, original, spare, strange." For 24 years they have been at the forefront of New York's alternative theater scene and have been praised for their bold and wild interpretations of classic dramas and lesser-known works. TMT has presented ambitious re-thinkings of plays by Shakespeare, Chekov, Brecht, Gertrude Stein, and Beaumarchais, among others. TMT has also created original works and new music / opera over the years and has served over 1,000 artists (mostly emerging) through its annual LAB. The company's production of Mamba's Daughters received an OBIE Award, and their epic 2004-06 production of Goethe's Faust received extensive critical acclaim. Recent productions include The (*) Inn at Abrons Arts Center, Uncle Vanya and The Tempest at HERE, Uriel Acosta: I Want That Man! at The Chocolate Factory and, most recently, Composition...Master-Pieces...Identity, a new solo performance piece from OBIE Award-winner David Greenspan at The Connelly Theater.

TMT programming is made possible through major support from The Andrew W. Mellon New York Theater Program, the Axe-Houghton Foundation, The Barbara Bell Cumming Foundation, Charina Foundation, The Clinton Walker Family Foundation, The Fan Fox & Leslie R. Samuels Foundation, Fred Alger Management, Inc., The Harold and Mini Steinberg Charitable Trust, the Iger Bay Foundation, the Jerome Robbins Foundation, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts and The Shubert Foundation.
