In The Beautiful Dark, Nancy's life is turned upside down when her 18-year old son Jacob fails out of college and returns home. Nancy appears to be succeeding, until she discovers disturbing news: Jacob didn't flunk out; he was kicked out for writing a graphic play about a shooting spree on campus, carried out by a young protagonist eerily similar to her son.

The Beautiful Dark will feature Brant Spencer Amundson (Pentecost); Colleen Clinton (Blue Bloods, Law And Order, Rescue Me, Third Watch); Drew Minard; Chelsea Mojallali; Stephen Singer (The Sopranos, White Collar, Rescue Me, The Good Wife) and Jesse Turits.
