Alfred Hitchcock's THE 39 STEPS is proud to celebrate its 100th performance Off-Broadway at New World Stages tonight Monday, July 12th! In honor of this milestone, 39 FREE tickets will be given away for this evening's 8PM performance.

Interested fans should head to the New World Stages box office (340 West 50th St.) beginning at 1PM today and say "Happy 100th Performance!" to receive their complimentary tickets.

The 39 tickets will be available first come first served beginning at 1PM, 2 tickets per person, at the box office only.

Today marks the fourth time that THE 39 STEPS has reached a 100th performance in a New York theatre. The move to Off-Broadway in March 2010 followed two successful, Tony-winning years on Broadway in three theatres. The comedy still plays in London's West End and on international tour.

Adapted by Patrick Barlow and directed by Maria Aitken, THE 39 STEPS is based on an original concept by Simon Corble and Nobby Dimon and on the book by John Buchan.

THE 39 STEPS features a cast of four actors who, against all odds, breathlessly and hilariously attempt to reenact all of the characters, locations and famous scenes in Hitchcock's 1935 film thriller with just a few props and a lot of theatrical ingenuity and split second quick changes.

The cast features John Behlmann as Richard Hannay, Cameron Folmar as Man #2, Jamie Jackson as Man #1 and Kate MacCluggage as Annabella Schmidt/Pamela/Margaret. The production also features Greg Jackson and Jane Pfitsh.

Set and costume design is by Peter McKintosh, lighting design is by Kevin Adams and sound design is by Mic Pool. Original movement was created by Toby Sedgwick. Additional movement is created by Christopher Bayes. Production stage manager is M. William Shiner.
