Amas Musical Theatre in support of The Amas Salon will present special benefit staged readings of Gotta Getta Girl, a 1930's musical romp with book and lyrics by Peter Charles Morris and music by David Caldwell. Directed by Phillip George (Forbidden Broadway) with musical direction by Mr. Caldwell and a cast of three - Michael LaMasa, Brieghanna Minnema and Sam Underwood ("Dexter, "Homeland," "The Following"), the readings will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 4pm and 7pm, atJune Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street - between 8th & 9th Avenues). In Gotta Getta Girl, Gene and Don, a Vaudeville tap dancing duo are forced to re-evaluate their unsuccessful career in show business when they decide they "gotta getta girl" into the act -- even if it means keeping Don from the one thing he's always wanted: Gene! When their new and adorable tap dancing beauty, Debbie, turns out to be more than what meets the eyes, Don is forced to take drastic steps to win back his man. The MGM Movie Musical that never was - on stage! The show was a 2011 New York Musical Theatre (NYMF) Official Selection.

The presentations are part of the The Amas Salon designed to present up-close and personal events that celebrate the New York Theatre scene and some of its brightest talents.
