The Laurie Beechman Theatre will present I HATE NY: A LOVE STORY, a show benefitting the charity Angels on Call, on Monday, December 14th, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the popular Theatre Row venue in the heart of midtown.

Performer Emily Esposito (EVITA; A CHRISTMAS STORY), who created the event and also wrote the piece, describes it as such: "Go through the ups, downs, and way downs of dating in NYC. You'll laugh, you'll drink, (you'll drink some more), but more importantly you'll realize you're definitely not alone in the madness."

Tim Realbuto (GHOSTLIGHT; WUNDERKIND), who is serving as the director for the benefit event, states: "Go on a deeply personal journey as Emily as her friends discover that there's no secret weapon or easy answer in the game of love, but if you stay true to yourself and don't ever give up, you can never tell what adventure might be waiting for you just around the corner. So, please come on down and support an amazing charity while listening to incredible vocalists sing popular hits from yesterday, today, Broadway and beyond."

Aside from Ms. Esposito and Mr. Realbuto (who will also appear in the cast), the company will feature Katie Mack (AVARICE; LIVE IN LIVING COLOR: THE SONGS OF SHAIMAN AND WITTMAN), Leigh Martha Klinger (GHOSTLIGHT; REBECCA THE MUSICAL); Hunter Brown (DAMN YANKEES; SHREK), Gabriel Horning (THE BERENSTAIN BEARS LIVE!; THE MYSTERIES), David LaMarr (THE LITTLE MERMAID; HAIRSPRAY), singer/songwriter Isaac Matthews (RENT), George Primavera, (GHOSTLIGHT; AVENUE Q), Gilbert D. Sanchez (GODSPELL; EVITA) and Lauren Testerman (THE BLACK BOOK; LOVE QUIRKS).

The show will feature a three-piece band led by music director Nick Sardis. Shelton Quiller will be on piano with Darrel Smith on drums, with the aforementioned Mr. Sardis on bass.
