Executive Producer Aaron Grant has announced that "downtown director," Rachel Klein, will direct & choreograph Eric S. Goldman's upcoming Off-Broadway Production of Gay Bride of Frankenstein in the 2011-2012 season.

Originally produced as a workshop at The Players' Ring in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Gay Bride of Frankenstein's journey to Off-Broadway includes a developmental production as part of the 2009 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Isaac Robert Hurwitz, Executive Producer of NYMF stated "I'm personally thrilled to hear that Gay Bride is gearing up for an off-Broadway run. It's two hours of catchy music & pure fun & I'm looking forward to seeing it even more fully realized than it was at NYMF."

As with the NYMF production, Daryl Eisenberg will again cast the musical, written by Dane E. Leeman (book) & Billy Butler (book, music & lyrics). Gay Bride of Frankenstein is a pop/rock, fairy tale musical that follows the exploits of four high school friends on one fateful Halloween night at a very unconventional Monsters Ball. It's John Hughes meets Scooby-Doo & asks the age old question: "Will the girl get the girl?"
