CHURCHILL, a new play adapted and performed by Ronald Keaton, is receiving its Off-Broadway premiere following an acclaimed 2014 sold-out world premiere engagement in Chicago. Opening Night is set for next Wednesday, February 18th. Under the direction of Kurt Johns, CHURCHILL is based on the life and writings of one of the greatest wartime leaders of the 20th Century. Legendary mentalist The Amazing Kreskin attended the first preview of CHURCHILL this past Friday, February 6th, at New World Stages. Scroll down for a photo!

The last time The Amazing Kreskin was spotted at New World Stages was at a performance of Freud's Last Session in the very same theatre where CHURCHILL is currently playing. That night he predicted a long life for the production, which ultimately achieved a record-shattering two-year run. Members of the house staff at Off-Broadway's largest theatre complex overheard Kreskin commenting after Friday's show that he predicted at least the same level of success for CHURCHILL!

In this highly charged new play, Churchill discusses his failures and his successes; his love of art, liquor and women; and the bravery of Britain's finest hour.

Over the past four decades, Ronald Keaton has established himself as one of Chicago's most dependable and versatile character actors at the Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook Terrace, First Folio Theatre, Theater at the Center, Oak Park Festival Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, and Mercury Theatre, among many others. His regional credits include roles at the Indiana Repertory Theatre, Houston's Alley Theatre and the Coconut Grove Playhouse in Miami. Keaton has also been a stage manager, a director, a playwright, a fundraiser, a lyricist/composer, and a singer at jazz and cabaret venues around Chicago.

CHURCHILL is a joint production of the Greenhouse Theater Center, SoloChicago, and the Wendy & William Spatz Charitable Foundation, with the support and permission of The Churchill Centre.
