SOUTHERN COMFORT is a uniquely American musical with a folk/bluegrass score (book and lyrics by Dan Collins; music by Julianne Wick Davis; directed by Thomas Caruso). The musical, based on Kate Davis' Sundance Award-winning documentary, tells the true story of transgender friends living life openly, honestly, and courageously in rural Georgia. The cast includes Todd Cerveris, Natalie Joy Johnson, Jeffrey Kuhn, Jeff McCarthy, Annette O'Toole, Robin Skye, Allison Briner, Lizzie Hagstedt, David M. Lutken, and Joe Waggoner. Joan H. Cappello is Production Stage Manager.

SOUTHERN COMFORT runs October 5-29 at the CAP21 Black Box Theatre (18 West 18th Street, 5th floor): Wednesdays-Saturdays at 7:00pm. Tickets are $18 and are available through OvationTix or online at www.cap21.org.
