The Directors Company presents the world premiere of Walter Anderson's play Almost Home, directed by Michael Parva (Irena's Vow). Almost Home will star Joe Lisi (Take Me Out), James McCaffrey (Gross Points), Jonny Orsini (The Nance), Brenda Pressley (The Lyons) and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Contact). BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the cast in rehearsal below!

ALMOST HOME begins previews September 12 and will open September 18 at the Acorn theatre on Theatre Row for a limited engagement through October 12, 2014.

In the turbulent sixties, a young Marine returns home to the Bronx, shaken but hopeful for the future. Met by a mother fighting to keep the family going and a father down on his luck, Johnny finds himself caught between his parents' dreams for his future and a police captain with plans of his own. Walter Anderson's compelling new drama about the wars fought at home asks: whose dreams must be sacrificed to protect the ones we love?

Known for his roles in NBC's "Third Watch" and HBO's "The Sopranos," Joe Lisi appeared on Broadway in the original cast of the 2003 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Take Me Out. James McCaffrey is best known for playing Jimmy Keefe on FX's "Rescue Me" and will appear in the upcoming ABC series "Forever." Jonny Orsini recently appeared on Broadway in Macbeth and The Nance, for which he received a Theater World Award, the Clive Barnes Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award nomination. A cast member of the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls, Brenda Pressley was recently on Broadway in The Lyons. Broadway veteran Karen Ziemba, a Tony Award winner for Contact, most recently was seen on stage in Bullets Over Broadway.

ALMOST HOME will feature set design by Harry Feiner, lighting design by Graham Kindred, costume design by Michael McDonald, sound design by Quentin Chiappetta, and Hair/Wig Design by Leah J. Loukas.
