FOGLIGHT's World Premiere of NOTICE ME, the new play by acclaimed playwright Blair Singer (Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas, Meg's New Friend, Placement, TV's "Weeds" "Monk" & "Book of Daniel") opened Off-Broadway at The Wild Project on July 19th. It is scheduled to run through August 1st. BroadwayWorld brings you a special look at the opening night below!

Directed by Sofia Alvarez, NOTICE ME tells the tale of four San Fernando Valley teenagers desperate to be noticed in the morass of our contemporary 24/7 media culture. Like sound in a vacuum, their voices cry out unheard in the barren landscape of suburbia.

The production stars Jason Shelton, Annabel LaLonde , Jake Green, and Susan Spratt. The design team includes James Bolenbaugh (scenic design) Eric Southern (lighting design), Daniel Tierney (original music and sound design) and Justine Siwula (costume design).

NOTICE ME began previews at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd St - between Ave A and Ave B) on Monday, July 19th in preparation for a Wednesday, July 21st opening. Its strictly limited engagement will perform through Sunday, August 1st.

Notice Me will perform evenings at 8pm (*note: Sunday, July 25th is dark)

Blair Singer's play, Matthew Modine Saves the Alpacas, received its world premiere in September, 2009, at The Geffen Playhouse under the direction of John Rando and starring Matthew Modine as "Matthew Modine". Other productions include Meg's New Friend and The Most Damaging Wound, directed by Mark Armstrong for The Production Company (NY); Placement, directed by Matt Shakman at The Black Dahlia; Mackerels are Me Life directed by Richard Feldman at the Chautauqua Theater Company. Other plays include Notice Me and No Reason to Run. On television, Blair is currently a story editor for the new USA Network show Facing Kate. Previously, he has written for Weeds, Monk, and The Book of Daniel. On the internet, Blair created the hit webseries The Suffersons for rocketboom.com starring Michael Chernus and Susan Pourfar. He also wrote for the third season of lonelygirl15. Blair is the recipient of the 2009 Edgerton Prize and is the 2009-10 Playwright-in-Residence of The Production Company (NY). He is a member of the MCC Playwrights' Coalition and a faculty member at Primary Stages. He graduated from The Juilliard School Acting Division.
