A professional staged reading of Medicine the Musical, a new musical by Michael Ehrenreich, is set to take place at the Daryl Roth Theatre on Monday, April 24, 2017. There will be two performances, at 1:00PM and at 6:30PM.

Set to a dynamic rock score, Medicine the Musical follows a diverse group of first year medical students as they struggle with their lives, loves, and the rigors of their education to pursue their dreams.

According to Ehrenreich, "Medicine the Musical was in the back of my mind throughout medical school. The intensity of the experience lends itself well to the emotional pitch that music can bring. There are dramas and comedies about medicine but no musicals. Until now."

Playwright and composer Michael Ehrenreich makes his New York debut with this performance. Ehrenreich is a practicing dermatologist in South Orange, New Jersey. The creative team includes Director Rachel Klein (Around the World in 80 Days; The Anthem; More Than All the World), and Musical Director Andy Peterson (More than All The World; Atomic). The executive producer for the reading is Jenn Maley.

The reading is free for anyone to attend, but tickets should be reserved on-line prior to the performance. Ticker-holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets may be reserved at www.MedicineTheMusical.com.
