As the Phillies and the Rays duke it out in the World Series, Manhattan Theatre Club celebrates the final innings of the baseball season with a special offer to baseball fans for their upcoming production of Itamar Moses' BACK BACK BACK, the stirring new baseball drama.

On Friday, October 31, the first 25 people who show up to the box office after 6:15 PM wearing baseball jerseys (or other attire showing support for their favorite baseball team) will receive free admission to that evening's performance at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).

After the 25 free tickets have been distributed, MTC will offer a special $20 ticket to the Friday, October 31 performance to all other people who show up wearing baseball attire.

The ticket distribution will begin at 6:15 PM that day. After the 25 free tickets have been distributed, the special $20 tickets will go on sale at the New York City Center box office. The $20 ticket is a limited offer to the October 31 performance only and the offer is subject to availability.

And for those baseball fans afraid they will miss any World Series action, if the series goes to seven games, the final game of the World Series is currently scheduled to be played Thursday, October 30 at Tampa Bay.

*The significance of the number 25 is there are 25 people on the "active roster" of a Major League baseball team.

Offer valid for 10/31/08 performance only.  Reg. price: $52.00. All sales are final - no refunds or exchanges. Offer is subject to availability and prior sales.  Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Offer may be revoked at any time without notice.

MTC's production of Itamar Moses' BACK BACK BACK will begin performances on Thursday, October 30 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street) in preparation for a Tuesday, November 18 opening night.

Directed by Daniel Aukin (former artistic director of Soho Rep, director of Everything Will Be Different, [sic]), the production stars Jeremy Davidson ("Army Wives," Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at The Kennedy Center), James Martinez (U.S. Drag, "Numb3rs"), and Michael Mosley (HBO's "Generation Kill," NBC's "Kidnapped").

Does greatness always come with a price? Can only someone with nothing to lose tell the whole truth? From Itamar Moses, the acclaimed writer of last season's MTC Stage II hit The Four of Us and Bach at Leipzig, comes a stirring new drama about America's favorite pastime. BACK BACK BACK follows the turbulent careers of three very different teammates (Davidson, Martinez, and Mosley) in baseball's steroid era whose clubhouse secrets bring them under federal scrutiny. This timely new play reveals a riveting portrait of pressure, paranoia and payback in professional sports.

The creative team for BACK BACK BACK includes David Zinn (scenic and costume design), David Weiner (lighting design), and Ryan Rumery & Daniel Baker (sound design).
