Labyrinth Theater Company Extends SUNSET BABY Through 12/15

LAByrinth Theater Company (Artistic Director Mimi O'Donnell, Managing Director Danny Feldman), the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today Sunset Baby, written by Dominique Morisseau, has extended its run at the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street), by popular demand. Sunset Baby, originally scheduled to run through December 6, 2013, will now play its final performance on December 15, 2013.

The cast of Sunset Baby includes John Earl Jelks, Harvey Gardner Moore, and DeWanda Wise. In addition to Morisseau, the creative team includes Kamilah Forbes (Director), Amatus-sami Karim Ali (Composer and Sound Designer), ESOSA (Costume Design), Jen Schriever (Lighting Design), and Lee Savage (Scenic Design).

East New York, Brooklyn. Nina's estranged father, a former black revolutionary, reappears to obtain a piece of her deceased mother's legacy. A powerful and honest story of one woman's journey to survive the harsh realities of her world, Sunset Baby is an energetic, daring look at the point where the personal and political collide.
