LAByrinth Theater Company (John Ortiz, Artistic Director; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Co-Artistic Director; John Gould Rubin, Co-Artistic Director & Executive Director), in residence at The Public Theater, will present a special reading of Bitter Honey by Eric Bogosian, a benefit evening of under performed and never performed Bogosiana, for two performances only May 21 & 22 at 8:00 p.m., in The Anspacher Theater at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street at Astor Place).  All proceeds will benefit LAByrinth Theater Company.

Mr. Bogosian will read monologues that have never been heard.  His under performed material is from This is Now!, a collaboration with Elliot Sharp, which has only been heard twice.  His never performed material is from early versions of the solo shows Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll, Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead, and Wake Up and Smell the Coffee.

In putting together this special benefit evening, Eric Bogosian, a LAByrinth Company Member since 2005, described LAByrinth as "What theater could be, should be and will be.  A company that is deeply devoted to their craft and to one another. It doesn't get any better than LAB."

Single tickets benefiting LAByrinth Theater Company are priced at $25 for Unreserved General Admission.  Get the best seats and support LAByrinth with a special "Sweet Seat" priced at $125 that includes guaranteed reserved seating and a swag bag, filled with an autographed playbill, a Bitter Honey poster, an archival DVD of Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll, and more ($100 is tax-deductible).

A limited number of $25 Rush Tickets will be available for purchase 1 hour prior to each performance. Cash only. Limit 2 per person.

Tickets will only be available for purchase directly from LAByrinth Theater Company by calling (212) 513-1012, or online at www.LABtheater.org.   Please note:  Tickets will not be available for purchase through The Public Theater.

In addition, raffle tickets will be on sale at both performances. Prizes include a visit with Bogosian to the set of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" to meet some of his co-stars; The Ultimate Bogosian DVD pack (archival DVD copies of Bogosian classics like Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll and Funhouse with rarities like Confessions of a Porn Star (1996), the very rare American Vanity (1989), and The Wedding Toast, a black-and-white short film made for Showtime in the 1990s); The Bogosian Variety Pack (including something from every medium: Wake Up And Smell The Coffee T-shirt, signed copies of subUrbia screenplay, Mall, Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll, Dramatists edition of Humpty Dumpty and CD of Pounding Nails In The Floor With My Forehead); and The Under The Radar Pack (signed poster from This Is Now!, signed copy of Live In London (1982), signed copy of Notes From The Underground and the ultra-rare In The Dark by Wedge Press – Bogosian's first ever published work which will never be re-issued and is difficult to find).
