Final Analysis the new play by playwright Otho Eskin, currently at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre, at The Pershing Square Signature Center, will welcome guest moderator, John Munder Ross on Wednesday, September 25 for a special "talk back" focused on better understanding the man known as, "the father of modern psychology" on the occasion of the 94th year of his death.

One of the pivotal characters in Final Analysis, Sigmund Freud was a controversial resident of Vienna, circa 1910. Freud was known to have had at least one session with Gustav Mahler, who is another of the central characters featured, along with Alma Mahler, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Josef Stalin and a mysterious young man.

John Munder Ross is the author of several dozen-journal articles, 8 books and over 450 presentations on the topic of psychoanalysis. He also served on the board of Margaret S. Mahler Psychiatric Research Foundation and is a Clinical Professor, Training and Supervising Analyst and Senior Associate Director for Clinical at Columbia Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research.

Dr. Ross brings his unique perspective to the discussion on Wednesday, centered on Freud and his work during the early 1900s, a time of growing anti-Semitism. Playwright Otho Eskin, director Ludovica Villar-Hauser and members of the play's cast will be on hand for a lively conversation.

Final Analysis was part of the 2012 Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival and was honored with 7 MITF Awards, receiving an unprecedented 13 nominations.

Final Analysis is at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center for a limited run through October 5.
