"TalkOut Mondays" (after performance) continues April 12th with David Mixner (civil rights activist and best-selling author) & Judith Light (Award-wining actress, activist) at the critically acclaimed hit show "The Temperamentals" by Jon Marans at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Daryl Roth, Stacy Shane and Martian Entertainment are presenting the new American play. Thomas Jay Ryan portrays Harry Hay and Michael Urie (TV's "Ugly Betty") is Rudi Gernreich. Rounding out the cast of five multiple talented actors are Arnie Burton, Matthew Schneck, and Sam Breslin Wright. It is directed by Jonathan Silverstein. The Set & Costume design is by Clint Ramos, lighting by Josh Bradford and Daniel Kluger is the sound designer. The show just received two Lortel Award Nominations: Outstanding Play and Michael Urie Outstanding Lead Actor. (2 hrs 05 mins including intermission)

David Mixner is an author, political strategist, civil rights activist and public affairs advisor who blogs on his passions. Named by Newsweek as the most powerful gay man in America, he is a leader in politics and international human rights for over 40 years. He wrote the acclaimed memoir Stranger Among Friends and co-wrote Brave Journeys and the screenplay, Dunes of Overveen, winning the Outfest MTV Award for Best New Screenplay. He has written for TIME, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The Advocate and others. He has participated in over 75 campaigns, serving as campaign manager, fundraiser or strategist for Clinton, Gephardt, Hart and McGovern for President, Bradley for Mayor, and Brown for Governor and Senate. He has raised over $30 million for candidates and charities, including over $1 million for openly gay and lesbian candidates. He has been an unofficial advisor to officials/business leaders on domestic and foreign policy and is a prominent international public affairs/strategic planning consultant with expertise in HIV/AIDS. He is a prominent university lecturer, and Yale University's Larry Kramer Initiative for Lesbian and Gay Studies created the David B. Mixner Collection, a catalogue of David's papers and correspondence from his work. He is a past member of the Democratic National Committee, Democratic Party National Commission on Delegate Selection and Party Reform, Congressional Fund, Municipal Elections Committee of Los Angeles, the Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund (former National Co-Chair), AIDS Project Los Angeles, and others.

Judith Light is the award-winning actress who received her BFA at Carnegie Mellon. She has appearedacross Europe in a USO Tour of Guys and Dolls, as well as appeared at the Milwaukee and Seattle Repertory Theatres, Eugene O'Neill Playwrights Foundation, and Ojai Playwrights conference. She starred in the Shakespeare Theatre(D.C.) in Hedda Gabler (Helen Hayes Award Nom.); MCC Theatre production of the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Wit (Helen Hayes and Elliot Norton Awards on National Tour.). At the Second Stage Theatre & Mark Taper Forum, she was in Sorrows and Rejoicings by Athol Fugard (Drama League Award Nom.) and LA Reprise! production of Company. At the Westport Playhouse and Williamstown Theatre Festival she starred in Children by A.R. Gurney. On Broadway Judith was in the Doll's House (with Liv Ullman). Some of the Television shows are: "One Life To Live" (two Emmys), "Who's The Boss", "Phenom," "The Stones," "Law and Order - SVU", and "Ugly Betty" (Emmy nominated), as well as fifteen TV movies: The Ryan White Story, and A Husband, A Wife, And A Lover (Co-Executive Produced). Independent Films include: The Shoemaker, Ira & Abby, and Save Me (actor/producer). She is a Board Member and advocate of organizations including: Broadway Cares / Equity fights AIDS, The Names Project-AIDS Memorial Quilt, Project Angel Food, Rome Chamber Music Festival, The Matthew Shepard Foundation, The Point Foundation, The Trevor Project, Aids Memorial Grove and Faith in America.

Mattachine Society & was fired in 1957 as an astrophysicist for being gay. A public apology to him from the Obama administration was made this year in a public ceremony); Tom Kirdahy (playwright); Jim McGreevey (former Governor of New Jersey, he was the first and, to date, the only openly gay state governor in United States history); Terrence McNally (award-winning playwright); Daryl Roth (producer 6 Pulitzer Prize winning plays); David Rothenberg (political activist, Fortune Society, WBAI Radio) * subject to change/availability
Performances are: Monday; Thursday; Friday 8pm; Saturday 2pm & 8pm; Sunday 3pm & 7pm. Tickets are: $65 and for Saturday evening $69. Premiums seats are also available.
