Producer Scott Griffin has announced that due to popular demand, DRUNK SHAKESPEARE will extend Off-Broadway through September 2015. DRUNK SHAKESPEARE - the irreverent and outrageous new theatrical experience directed by David Hudson - is currently playing at capacity at its new venue The Lounge at Roy Arias Stages (300 West 43rd Street at 8th Avenue). Originally scheduled to close in January, the show will now run through September 6, 2015 after feature stories in The New Yorker and The New York Observer. Compared to "a live-action 'Drunk History'" by Time Out New York, the show was called "zany" by The New York Times and an "off Broadway show you need to see " by The Huffington Post. Tickets are $54 for the "Mezzanine" seats and $69 for "Stage" seats which get you closer to the action... and the drinking! For tickets and more information, please visit www.DrunkShakespeare.com.

A self-proclaimed "drinking club with a Shakespeare problem," The Drunk Shakespeare Society invites audiences to join them for a meeting in their society lounge. The evening begins with one actor drinking more than five shots of whiskey before attempting to lead the cast through a Shakespearean story in under 90 minutes. The results are messy and outrageous. Every night is different and truly anything can happen! On Friday and Saturday nights, a "late show" starts at 10:00 PM where the drunk actor from the early show keeps drinking, and performing. The other four actors are sober, and trying to get the play done!

DRUNK SHAKESPEARE is performed by a rotating company of actors. The cast includes Tiffany Abercrombie, Brandon Carter, Chris Gebauer, Julia Giolzetti, Josh Hyman, Elissa Klie, Whit Leyenberger, Christina Liu, Caitlin Morris, Louis Sallan, Damiyr Shuford, Adam Thomas Smith and Alison Wien.

The Lounge - created by a group of drunken academics - has evolved into one of New York's new "must-see" venues. Over 9,000 books fill the walls and with a "bring one, take one" policy, you might find a treasure you want to take home. A grand red stage made entirely of books is the centerpiece of the space, along with a bar built into an 11-foot high bookshelf (with drinks served through a narrow opening by a belligerent bartender).
