DEAR EDWINA Returns To DR2 Theatre 12/17-2/25/2011

Producer Daryl Roth announced today that the musical Dear Edwina, a holiday favorite with critics and audiences alike, will return for its third season to the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street, NYC) for a limited run beginning Friday, December 17, 2010, playing through Friday, February 25, 2011. This musical comedy for all ages is written by Zina Goldrich (music) and Marcy Heisler (book and lyrics) and is directed by Timothy McDonald.

It's rare to find a show that parents and grandparents enjoy as much as the children they bring," Roth said.Dear Edwina is a heartwarming show about the joys and frustrations of growing up. The show's spunky heroine, Edwina Spoonable, is an advice-giver extraordinaire. Told through a show-within-a-show format, Edwina shares her wisdom on everything from setting the table to making new friends through clever, catchy and poignant songs. Whether you're a kid living through it or an adult reminiscing about your childhood, everyone in the audience can identify with the characters and cheer their success.Dear Edwina opened in December 2008 and was nominated for two Drama Desk Awards. The show also played a limited run in December 2009. The full creative team returns for this engagement and includes Steven G. Kennedy (Choreography), Court Watson (Scenic Design), Kathryn Furst (Lighting Design), Theresa Squire (Costume Design) and Joe Kinosian (Music Director).Videos
