In honor of National Video Games Day, Off-Broadway's AVENUE Q playfully explores adulthood in an educational/entertainment style we are all familiar with from childhood with Avenue Q TRAIL.

Princeton has arrived in NYC! Now he needs to find a place to live. Let the quest begin in this simple adventure-style game that is a fun retro shout-out to the 1990s era of computer lab gaming and everyone's favorite musical, Avenue Q.

The game, entitled, Avenue Q TRAIL is a simple "Oregon Trail" adventure-style game. It is a fun and retro shout-out to the 1990s era of computer lab gaming made with Avenue Q fans in mind. Avenue Q TRAIL is an extension to the Q-universe, which Q fans will likely enjoy.

AVENUE Q TRAIL takes players through Princeton's journey of arriving in NYC and finding his apartment on AVENUE Q. Play the game to join Princeton along his journey!

The goal of this game is not tech wizardry, but nostalgic fun that celebrates Avenue Q - one of our favorite musicals of all-time. AVENUE Q TRAIL is a throwback to those 1990s computer lab games and reminiscent of a time when we all made mixtapes for our friends. You can't play it on a mobile device; you need to sit down and use a good old-fashioned actual keyboard.

It can only be played on laptop or desktop versions of the Avenue Q website here: avenueq.com/game.php.

Avenue Q opened on Broadway July 31, 2003 at the John Golden Theatre; won three 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book of a Musical. With unforgettable, uproarious and catchy songs such as THE INTERNET IS FOR PORN, EVERYONE'S A LITTLE BIT RACIST and IF YOU WERE GAY, the show's finale, ONLY FOR NOW, has been a perpetual barometer of the times in which we live: the song's lyric currently proclaims that "Donald Trump is only for now."

Avenue Q is the hilarious and internationally-acclaimed musical about a group of 20-somethings -- people and puppets alike -- who move to New York with big dreams and tiny bank accounts. Together they live as neighbors on a street in New York as they try to discover their purpose in life. The musical's characters include Princeton, Kate Monster, Trekkie Monster, Lucy, Nicky, Rod, Gary Coleman, Brian and Christmas Eve.

At the 499-seat theatre at New World Stages in New York City, Avenue Q performs Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00pm, Saturdays at 2:30 pm and 8:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm and 7:30 pm. For more information visit www.avenueq.com.
