The critically acclaimed first Off-Broadway revival of the of Closer Than Ever, with lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. and music by David Shire, will end its extended run with its 150th performance on Sunday evening, November 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue) where performances began June 5, 2012.

Presented by the York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), in association with Edward Negley, Neil Berg and Adam Friedson, previous company members associated with the show, Jenn Colella, Christiane Noll, Jamie LaVerdiere, James Moye, and more, will be on hand to celebrate the momentous occasion of the final performance of the hit five month run!

With direction by Mr. Maltby, associate direction and choreography by Kurt Stamm and music direction by Andrew Gerle, the cast currently features George Dvorsky (The Scarlet Pimpernel), Marya Grandy (Les Misérables, Damn Yankees), Anika Larsen (Xanadu, All Shook Up, Avenue Q) and Sal Viviano (The Full Monty).

Richard Maltby, Jr. and David Shire's musical revue Closer Than Ever opened in June at the York Theatre Company and was immediately embraced by critics and audiences alike. An intimate exploration of love, friendship, security, happiness – and holding onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions at once – the York's Closer Than Ever is the homecoming of an Off-Broadway classic. Celebrities that have been spotted at Closer Than Ever include: Joan Rivers, Linda Lavin, Michael Feinstein, Kathie Lee Gifford, Judy Collins, Doris Roberts, Jonathan Tunick, John Kander, Karen Akers, Donna McKechnie, Hal Prince, John McMartin, Tovah Feldshuh, Christian Borle, Seth Rudetsky, Karen Ziemba, Cady Huffman, Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Sondheim, Charles Strouse, Sheldon Harnick, Nancy Ford, Tom Jones, Danny Burstein, Rebecca Luker, Hunter Foster, Jenn Cody, Tony Sheldon and more. A new cast album will be released soon by JAY Records.

The creative team includes James Morgan (set), Nicole Wee (costumes), and Kirk Bookman (lights). The Production Stage Manager is Bernita Robinson.

The five remaining performances for Closer Than Ever are set for tonight, November 2nd, at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 3rd at 2:30 p.m. & 8:00 p.m, and Sunday, November 4th at 2:30 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.
