Bedlam Theatre to Stage THE SEAGULL and SENSE & SENSIBILITY in Rep This Fall

The off-Broadway theatre company, Bedlam, which received critical acclaim and multiple award nominations for its recent productions of Saint Joan and Hamlet, will present the North American Premiere of Anya Reiss' adaptation of The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, and the World Premiere of Kate Hamill's adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. Both will be directed by Eric Tucker.

Played in repertory and with ten actors, The Seagull and Sense & Sensibility are highly theatrical, immersive productions of classic store by one of America's most innovative downtown theatre companies.

The repertory pair will be playing as part of the inaugural season of the Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street, NYC). Performances begin on Thursday, October 30, 2014. The Seagull will open officially on November 2nd, with Sense & Sensibility opening on November 9th. The plays will run through December 22, 2014.

The cast will feature Laura Baranik, Nigel Gore, Kate Hamill, Andrus Nichols, Jason O'Connell, John Russell, Vaishnavi Sharma, Samantha Steinmetz, Eric Tucker, and Stephan Wolfert.

The creative team includes John McDermott (Set Design), Les Dickert (Lighting Design), Angela Huff (Costume Design), and Alexandra Beller (Choreographer).
