Rachel Reiner Productions is proud to present the World Premiere of Victor L. Cahn's EMBRACEABLE ME, directed by Eric Parness. EMBRACEABLE ME will begin performances on Friday, October 23 and will open on Wednesday, October 28, running thru November 14 at Theatre Row's Kirk Theatre (410 West 42nd Street). EMBRACEABLE ME stars Keira Naughton (Broadway: The Rivals, Three Sisters, Hunting and Gathering, Evolution) and Scott Barrow (Broadway: 33 Variations). The creative team includes: Sarah B. Victor L. Cahn (Playwright) has written several plays that have been presented Off-Broadway: Fit To Kill, Roses In December, and Sheepskin/ Bottom Of The Ninth. His other produced scripts include Getting The Business, Of My Father's House, Fits Like A Glove, By Any Other Name, and Romantic Trapezoid. He has acted with theater companies throughout the Capital Region of New York, playing such roles as Wendice in Dial M For Murder, Elyot in Private Lives, and Garry in Present Laughter. Victor received his AB from Columbia College, where he was Concertmaster of the University Orchestra, and his MA and PhD from New York University. He has taught at Mercersburg Academy, Pomfret School, Phillips Exeter Academy, Bowdoin College, and, for the past twenty-six years, at Skidmore College, where he is Professor of English. He has written three books on Shakespeare, as well as volumes on Tom Stoppard and Harold Pinter, and his articles and reviews have appeared in such varied publications as The Literary Review, Modern Drama, The Chronicle of Higher Education, The New York Times, and Variety. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Inc.

Eric Parness (Director) is the Artistic Director of Resonance Ensemble where he has most recently directed the production of Reflections: An Evening of Short Plays. Other productions include Christopher Boal's 23 Knives, Sophocles' Antigone, Gorky's The Lower Depths, Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard and world premiere productions of Strange Bedfellows by Bruce Cohen, La Tempestad by Larry Loebell, The Mail Order Bride by Charles L. Mee, and Sherlock Solo by Victor L. Cahn. Other directing credits include world premieres of Fit to Kill (Theatre Row), Kryptonite City (Hypothetical Theatre Company), and Finding Louise (Oberon Theatre Ensemble), as well as revivals of Measure for Measure, Blood Wedding, Of Mice and Men and Michael Weller's Ghosts on Fire. and other new work with adobe theatre company, Ensemble Studio Theatre and Vital Theater Company. He has also directed educational theatre for Stern College and Brandeis University. Eric served as Assistant to Artistic Director Curt Dempster of Ensemble Studio Theatre and four seasons as Associate to Artistic Director Jeff Horowitz of Theatre for a New Audience. Eric is an alumnus of Brandeis University and the Lincoln Center Theater's Directors Lab, and is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.

Scott Barrow (Edward) Recent credits include 33 Variations on Broadway, Garry in Noises Off, and Elyot in Private Lives both with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Father Flynn in Doubt and Benedick in Much Ado (Arkansas Repertory), the Bernards in A Number (Wilma Theater), The Mousetrap (Olney Theatre Center), and Adam in the Shape of Things (DC's Studio Theatre). Other credits include The Cincinnati Playhouse (Othello), Trinity Rep (Taming of the Shrew and Julius Caesar), The Vineyard Playhouse (The Retreat From Moscow), North Shore Music Theatre (Puck in Midsummer), Arena Stage, The Arden, Commonwealth Shakespeare, Portland Stage, Shakespeare and Company, New Rep, Hartford Stage, The Geva, and the New York Theatre Workshop where he originated the roles of Henry Lee and Helmut in the premier of Paul Rudnick's Valhalla. Film and TV credits include The Strangler's Wife, Expired, and "All My Children." MFA Brandeis University.
