StarKid Productions proudly present "The Trail To Oregon!" Live at Cherry Lane Theatre. The new comedy musical, which premiered last summer in Chicago and went on StarKid's YouTube channel in February this year (where it has already garnered hundreds of thousands of views), makes it's off-Broadway debut May 26-30.

Set in the 1840s, "The Trail To Oregon!" follows the All-American, dysfunctional family as they set off from Independence, Missouri to head out west in search of a new life in the greatest place on earth... Oregon! What the clueless pioneers don't count on is that they'll have to face every obstacle imaginable along the way, from snake-bites, to bandits, to dysentery! It's the original cross-country road trip... from hell! Loosely inspired by the popular, retro computer game, "The Oregon Trail," this raucous, raunchy, musical spoof features 6 performers, 13 songs, multiple possible endings, and a heaping helping of audience participation. With the live audience not only naming all the people in the wagon party, but also choosing which family members they'd like to see die, no two performances of "The Trail To Oregon!" will ever be the same.

"The Trail To Oregon!" features Music & Lyrics by Jeff Blim (with Additional Music by Drew DeFour) and Book by Jeff Blim, Matt Lang & Nick Lang (with Additional Writing by Brian Holden). The show includes Jaime Lyn Beatty, Jeff Blim, Lauren Lopez, Joey Richter and Rachael Soglin

StarKid Productions is an online entertainment Production Company that produces original and parody musical comedies, albums, and merchandise. It was founded in 2009, after it's first show (a Harry Potter parody called "A Very Potter Musical") went viral on YouTube and garnered the creative team international attention, thousands of fans, and millions of views. Since then, the group (headed up by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Brian Holden) has produced 8 more theatrical productions, 2 nation-wide concert tours, 2 sketch comedy shows with the Second City, and many more online videos and live events. The team's shows tend to be on the raunchy side, and it's fan base consists largely of teens, college kids, and 20-somethings. Some StarKid alums that have gone on to international, main-stream success, include Darren Criss (who played Blaine on Fox's "GLEE," and has appeared on Broadway as J. Pierrepont Finch in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying" and as Hedwig in "Hedwig And The Angry Inch"), Carlos Valdes (who plays Cisco on the CW's "The Flash"), and A.J. Holmes (who has appeared on Broadway, The West End, and on tour as Elder Cunningham in "Book of Mormon").

StarKid operates out of Chicago, IL. "The Trail To Oregon!" will be their first theatrical run in New York City, though they have performed sold out concerts and readings at Irving Plaza, the Gramercy Theatre, the Roseland Ballroom, and 54 Below.
