Friday October 18th through Sunday October 20th, Bill W. and Dr. Bob celebrates its 100th performance at the intimate, 187 seat Soho Playhouse. (15 Vandam Street). The whole weekend will be a celebration, with birthday cakes, talkbacks, and prizes.

EXTENDED RUN - Bill W. and Dr. Bob, after being mounted more than 100 times in 35 states as well as Australia, Canada and England, is extending its Off Broadway run until January 5, 2014; adding twelve weeks to its engagement.

BILL W. AND DR. BOB uses humor and drama to tell a great American success story: the relationship between the two men that led to the founding of AA in 1935, and their wives Lois and Anne, that led to the founding of Al Anon Family Groups, and the power of recovery. Critically acclaimed, award-winning, breaking box office records all over America, this is a universally compelling story about the triumph of the human spirit. But, as countless reviewers have written, "You don't have to know anything about AA to love this play-it's a play for everyone!" In the critically acclaimed revival Patrick Boll (Mamma Mia, Faith Healer, Twentieth Century) stars as Bill Wilson, a famous New York stockbroker who crashes with the stock market, becoming a miserable drunk. Returning to the role he performed to acclaim at the Cleveland Playhouse, Timothy Crowe (resident acting member of Trinity Repertory Company) plays Dr. BoB Smith, a surgeon in Akron who has been an alcoholic for thirty years and often goes into the operating room with a hangover. Deborah Hedwall (Anne Smith), Denise Cormier (Lois Wilson), Daniel Pearce (Man) and Sarah Nealis (Woman) are the other cast members.
