In 1994, Avi Hoffman's Too Jewish? premiered off-off Broadway at the Houseman Theater. After rave reviews and a six-month sold-out engagement, it transferred off-Broadway and had a successful six-month commercial run at the Westside Theater. In 1998, his Too Jewish, Too! opened to great critical acclaim, after which Mr. Hoffman 'vanished' from the New York theatre scene.

Now, almost 20 years later, Avi Hoffman's Still Jewish After All These Years will have its highly anticipated New York premiere tonight, Saturday, August 10th at 7pm at Stage 72 (formerly known as the Triad-158 W 72nd St). Opening night is Monday, August 19th at 7pm.

In this all new musical celebration, Avi scans his 45-year career. Through story and song, he shares the humorous and moving experiences in his Meshugane (crazy) life in the theater, beginning at age 10 in the historic Folksbiene Yiddish Theatre.

Michael Larsen, the Musical Director, played on Broadway in "Annie," "Nine," and "42nd Street."

With this theatrical trifecta, Avi Hoffman's Too Jewish?, Too Jewish, Too! and now Avi Hoffman's Still Jewish After All These Years, Hoffman has had an almost 20-year theatrical journey criss-crossing the country while picking up award nominations (Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle) and statuettes (the LA Ovation Award-Best Actor in a Musical).

Both of Mr. Hoffman's previous works were broadcast nationally on the PBS network. Avi was featured in the NBC series "Law and Order" and can currently be seen as Sid Raskin opposite Jeffrey Dean Morgan on the Starz series "Magic City," starring James Caan, Danny Huston, Kelly Lynch and Olga Kurylenko.

Avi Hoffman's Still Jewish After All These Years is performed three times weekly over a three month period concluding on October 23rd.
