Abingdon Theatre Company -- which has produced 85 new plays since 1994 -- concludes its 22nd Season with the world premiere of MALLORCA by two-time Emmy nominee Sheldon Bull ("Newhart"), with previews set to begin May 29, prior to an official press opening on June 7, in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Donald Brenner (March Madness) directs this award-winning comedy set in New York City and Spain.

In MALLORCA, male bonding takes its toll on four guys when a cryptic message from one of them leads the others on a hilarious chase from Manhattan to a seaside escape.

The cast of MALLORCA includes L.J. Ganser (The Attic), Steven Hauck (Irena's Vow, The Velocity of Autumn), Lisa Riegel (Sunday's Child), Brian Russell ("The Blacklist"), Rory Scholl (Peoples Improv Theatre).

The production features set design by Brian Dudkiewicz, costume design by Fan Zhang, lighting design by Michael Megliola, and sound design by Ian Wehrle. Production Stage Manager is Elliot Meyers.

Sheldon Bull is a 30-year veteran of Hollywood's top comedies. His numerous credits as writer, producer and/or director include "M*A*S*H," "Coach," "Sabrina, The Teenage Witch," the current CBS smash "Mom," and "Newhart" for which he received two Emmy nominations. He is the author of Elephant Bucks: An Inside Guide to Writing for TV Sitcoms. Bull makes his New York debut with MALLORCA, recipient of Abingdon's 2013 Christopher Brian Wolk Award.

For Abingdon, Donald Brenner directed March Madness by Mike Vogel and December Fools by Sherman Yellen, as well as benefit readings of Merton of the Movies and Charles Dickens' Great Expectations. He recently directed David Krane's Nevada at Nevada Conservatory Theatre. For New York Musical Theatre Festival, he directed Mapmaker's Opera, Sasquatched! The Musical, and The Most Ridiculous Thing You Ever Hoid (NYMF Award of Excellence winner). His Off-Broadway credits include Critical Mass and A Tale of Two Cities (The Mint Theatre).

Since 2001, the Christopher Brian Wolk Award has been presented annually by Abingdon to recognize excellence in playwriting. Previous award-winning plays include Summer on Fire by Mike Bencivenga; How I Fell in Love by Joel Fields; Pastoral by Frank Tangredi; and Dreams of Friendly Aliens by Daniel Damiano.

Jan Buttram is Artistic Director and Craig J. Horsley is Managing Director of Abingdon Theatre Company. Productions in the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre are Approved Equity Showcases.

Performances of MALLORCA run May 29-June 21: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7pm; Fridays at 8pm: Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm; and Sundays at 2pm at Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
