Matt Bogart to Headline NYMF Musical People Like Us

Matt Bogart will headline People Like Us, a new musical that will premiere at the New York Music Theatre Festival and run from September 22nd to October 2nd at the Barrow Group.

With book and lyrics by Todd Almond and Gus Kaikkonen, and with music by Almond and direction by Kaikkonen, the show, which will co-star Pamela Bob, is about "one man and one woman, both approaching 30, individually successful and impossibly in love. How can two people be together when they're a world apart?" according to production notes.

Bogart has appeared on Broadway in Miss Saigon (his Broadway debut), Smokey Joe's Cafe, The Civil War and Aida. Regionally, he has performed in Camille Claudel (at Goodspeed), Company (at the Kennedy Center), Camelot (at Paper Mill Playhouse and Arena Stage), as well as in Carousel, Side Show, Himself and Nora, Phantom and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; Simple Songs is his solo CD on Jay Records.

Bob's New York credits include Cam Jansen and The Gay Divorce, and she has appeared regionally in Annie Get Your Gun, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Babes in Arms, Company and Gypsy.

People Like Us' performance schedule is September 22nd at 8 PM, September 24th at 4:30 PM, September 29th at 8 PM, September 30th at 4:30 PM, October 1st at 8 PM and October 2nd at 1 PM. For more information, visit www.nymf.org.
