Happy McPartlin & Cicily Daniels to Star in MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE at NYMF, 7/19-27

The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Popjam Productions present the North American premiere of MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE - a musical comedy that tells the truth about marriage and motherhood - with book and lyrics by Australian singer, songwriter and reality TV star Amity Dry, music by Amity Dry and Mark Simeon Ferguson and directed by Hilary Adams. MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE is an official selection of the 2013 New York Musical Theatre Festival and will play The Studio Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street) in Manhattan beginning July 19th, 2013 for 6 performances only!

Like a musical "Sex and the City" meets "Desperate Housewives," MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE follows four best girlfriends as they navigate life's trials and tribulations and discover marriage is nothing like the movies, motherhood can push your limits and no one makes you laugh like your friends do. Both a rioterous comedy and insightful drama, this refreshing new musical offers a raw and honest reflection on the challenges modern day women face trying to 'do it all.'

The creative and design team behind MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE is: Amity Dry (Book, Music & Lyrics), Mark Simeon Ferguson (Music, Assistant Music Director, Pianist), Hilary Adams (Director), Stephen Purdy (Music Director), Janell Berte (Costume Designer), Kathleen McDonough and Kevin Lee Allen (Scenic Designers).

The cast of MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE will feature Happy McPartlin (who recently made her Broadway debute in "Hands on a Hardbody"), Cicily Daniels (Broadway credits include: "The Little Mermaid," "Rent"), Mollie Vogt-Welch (last seen on Broadway in "A Tale of Two Cities") and Vanessa Lemonides ("Jewtopia," "Garbo and Me").

Amity Dry is an Australian singer/songwriter with two successful albums to her credit ("The Lighthouse," an Australian top 10 album and "True to Me"). In 2003, she along with her husband - Phil Rankine - were selected to appear on Australia's biggest reality TV show "The Block," rocketing them to instant national fame. This year they competed on The Block All Stars series, winning the competition and gaining a whole new generation of fans. Following the birth of her first child, Amity began work on MOTHER, WIFE AND THE COMPLICATED LIFE - at that point a solo show. After a successful production of MOTHER...LIFE in the Adelaide Fringe Festival Amity expanded it into a full scale musical. The musical version has been incredibly popular thoughout Australia, earning rave reviews, award nominations and a loyal audience following. It recently performed a successful 30 show Australian tour, featuring Amity in the lead role.
