According to the New York Daily News, Marcus Bellamy, a former Broadway ensemble member of Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark and Disney's Tarzan, admitted via two disturbing Facebook posts that he had killed his boyfriend. The first reads, "Forgive me. I did it because I love you. I love you all. I love you also. He told me love and hate are the same emotion. Forgive me. I know not what I do. I did it for love. For god. On high," while the second reads "I am god. I give life and can take it away. So let it be. #therapture"

Police discovered the boyfriend, Bernardo Almonte, lying face-down in the apartment in a pool of blood, following Bellamy's confession to a neighbor that he had killed Almonte. Police have not revealed what the couple were arguing about, but Bellamy has been charged with beating Almonte to death during the altercation.

This is Bellamy's fourth arrest since 2007, but the first violence-related charge.

According to production credits for SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK, Bellamy was the show's Assistant Dance Captain as well as a member of the ensemble. Trained at Juilliard, Interlochen Arts Academy and The Florida Dance Workshop, his previous credits include TARZAN on Broadway, and the film of ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.

He also appeared on television on SMASH and I CAN DO THAT, and other theatre credits include LEAR at New York Live Arts, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM and regional production s of THE WIZ at the Hangar Theatre, Beehive, VICES: A LOVE STORY & more.
