Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening of The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church on July 18 at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road. The world premiere production runs through Sunday, August 24. This hilarious and heart-warming comedy by award-winning Richmond playwright, Bo Wilson, follows the ladies of the Charitable Sisterhood who won't let flooded roads and washed out bridges keep them from fulfilling their sworn mission.

Bo Wilson, a local playwright from Chesterfield County, is very excited for this production. "It's always thrilling to see your work performed, and when it's written with specific actresses in mind and you actually GET those actresses, the thrill is that much greater. I couldn't be happier about it." Wilson has had several of his plays published by Samuel French and Algonquin Press and he is the recent recipient of the Martha Hill Newell Playwright's Fund.

Set in the basement of the Second Trinity Victory Church, our five angels of mercy do their best to help the victims of global disaster, spiritual deprivation, and, most of all, each other.
