Virginia Repertory Theatre announces the opening THIS WONDERFUL LIFE by Steve Murray on Friday, November 27 at Hanover Tavern, 13181 Hanover Courthouse Road. The show runs through Sunday, January 10, 2016. The classic denizens of Bedford Falls come to life in this one-man, stage adaptation of the iconic screenplay It's a Wonderful Life.

Richmond favorite, Scott Wichmann, skillfully inhabits every character from Bedford Falls as he reprises his role from Virginia Rep's 2008 production. He most recently starred in Peter and the Starcatcher as Black Stache at Virginia Rep's November Theatre and Last of the Red Hot Lovers as Barney Cashman at Hanover Tavern. Other Virginia Rep credits include Say Goodnight Gracie (RTCC Award for Best Actor), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Guys and Dolls, Fully Committed, and The Producers.

John Moon returns to Virginia Rep to direct the production. Recent directing credits include The Maggie Walker Story, Treasure Island, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Virginia Rep), You Know I Can't Hear You When the Water's Running (Swift Creek Mill Dinner Theatre), and August: Osage County (Company of Fools).
