TheatreLAB is thrilled to present Bad Jews by Joshua Harmon as part of the 2016 Acts of Faith Festival. Directed by Debra Clinton and produced in association with the Weinstein JCC, the show will run from February 18th to March 5th at TheatreLAB's home, The Basement in Richmond's Arts District.

The night after their grandfather's funeral, three cousins engage in a verbal - and sometimes physical - battle. In one corner is Daphna Feygenbam, a "Real Jew" who is volatile, self-assured, and unbending. In the other is her equally stubborn cousin Liam who has his shiksa girlfriend, Melody, in tow. Stuck in the middle is Liam's brother, Jonah, who tries to stay out of the fray. When Liam stakes claim to their grandfather's Chai necklace, a vicious and hilarious brawl over family, faith, and legacy ensues. Featuring Kelsey Cordrey, Ethan Malamud, Evan Nasteff, and Catherine Carol Walker.

Direction by Debra Clinton; Stage Management by Andrew Wallen Scott; Scenic Design by Michael Todd; Costume Design by Casey Jones; Lighting Design by Michael Jarett; Sound Design by Maggie Bavolack.

From Bad Jews Director, Debra Clinton: "As a Jewish woman who grew up in a huge extended family, I love and understand the people in this play; they are familiar and terrifying. I find myself alternating between giggling and nodding in agreement while also wincing in pain at the hilarious reality of this roller coaster ride of love, jealousy, and family tradition. Anyone who has ever loved and hated simultaneously will identify with Bad Jews."

Seating is limited and ticket prices range from $10-30. There will be a special low-priced preview performance on February 18th before opening night on February 19th. Tickets are now on sale and available at TheatreLABrva.org.
