Norfolk, VA will again host a Who's Who of the theatre world, including Broadway power couple Terrence Mann (Pippin, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Cats) and Charlotte d'Amboise (Pippin, Chicago, Sweet Charity); Actors Equity President, author, former Miss America and leading lady Kate Shindle (Cabaret, Wonderland, Legally Blonde); and many others, when Virginia Theatre Association (VTA) returns to Norfolk for its Virginia Theatre Matters Conference, October 22-25, 2015, at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott Hotel.

VTA is thrilled to welcome back Virginia's Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre founder, Sondheim Interpreter, and Broadway director Eric Schaeffer (Gigi, Follies, Million Dollar Quartet), Synetic Theatre's Paata Tsurishkivili, New York theatre creatives Tim McDonald and Steven Kennedy. Guest Artists include Broadway and regional dancer/choreographer/directors Christopher d'Amboise and Kelly d'Amboise.

The conference is sponsored by Disney Theatrical Group, Music Theatre International, Pepsi, Barbizon, Triple Arts, Busch Gardens, and others.

The October gathering will feature a Shakespeare Matters One-Day Symposium in cooperation with Virginia Shakespeare Initiative, discussions by state & national theatre leaders, live performances from Core Theatre, Synetic Theatre, Old Dominion University, Virginia Stage; theatre festivals for theatre people of all ages; College and SETC Pre-Screen Auditions; and 250 master classes, workshops, and entertainment events.

DAY PASSES ARE AVAILABLE for Saturday Sessions ($30 for the day) and Festivals ($15 Thursday andFriday).

VTA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to connect, create, develop, nurture and advocate for, theatre people of all ages, at every level, from every corner of Virginia. This year's conference in Norfolk will include nationally renowned guest speakers, presentations, workshops, book signings, performances and much more. The 2016 VTA Conference will again be held in Norfolk.
