Signature Theater Hosts OVERTURE Auditions 3/27, 4/10

Want to act on stage? Can't help but sing and dance? Do you want a career on stage or know someone who does? Signature Theatre's Overtures: Musical Theatre Institute provides an intensive tuition-based training program to nurture emerging musical theater performers. We are looking for the next generation of Audra McDonalds and Raúl Esparzas to audition for our 2010 summer program.

Overtures is a unique experience for young artists interested in a two-week rigorous program, with instruction in vocal and performance technique, dance, movement and acting skills provided by some of the theater community's most respected award-winning talents.

Overtures students have gone to act in Signature productions, and at other theaters in the
DC area. Sweeney Todd castmembers Sam Ludwig, Weslie Woodley, and Hannah Willman are all
alumni of the Overtures program.

The program meets six days a week from June 20th through July 2nd and concludes with a showcase performance at Signature.

On- site auditions are held at Signature Theatre on Saturdays March 27th and April 10th from 10am to 1pm.
