Calling all aspiring actors and students who just want to have fun! The 10th Anniversary Season at Roanoke Children's Theatre kicks off on August 27, 2017 with the start of RCT Academy Classes for the Fall Semester.

All RCT Academy Classes are held at the Roanoke Children's Theatre Studio (located at the Scottish Rite Auditorium - 622 Campbell Ave SW).

Roanoke Children's Theatre offers classes for grades Pre-K thru 12th. RCT Theatre Academy seeks to show young people a world where imagination and creative expression thrive: the theatre in a safe environment! Academy classes are perfect for serious, aspiring performers as well as for students who just want to have fun.

For the 10th Anniversary Season, RCT is excited to be able to offer a full musical theatre experience; featuring classes focusing on acting, singing, dancing and playwriting. RCT welcomes two new faces to the Education Team: Brett Roden as Director of Education and Ian Felker as Education Coordinator/Resident Stage Manager. "I am thrilled that Brett and Ian are joining us as we kick off our 10th Anniversary," says RCT Artistic Director Pat Wilhelms. "They both bring so many talents to our theatre allowing us to offer Academy classes never offered before. Coming straight to RCT from the Tony Award-winning Barrington Stage Company, Brett brings a brand new set of skills to the RCT Academy. We can't wait to dig in to our 10th Anniversary Season and celebrate."

For the first time ever, RCT is offering an Academy Pack, which allows parents to sign their kids up for three full sessions of the RCT Academy at a discounted price. The Academy Pack discount is available until August 27! To register for Fall Classes at RCT, students may go online to roanokechildrenstheatre.org/academy.html. If parents or students have questions about which class is best for them, they may call the RCT office at 540.400.7795.
