Firehouse Theatre has hired Adam B. Ferguson as Associate Producer effective March 2, 2015.

Ferguson graduated from the University of Richmond in 2011 where he earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts and Rhetoric and Communication Studies. Upon graduating Ferguson moved to New York City where he worked as Assistant to the Producer of the Met: Live in HD at the Metropolitan Opera. Ferguson then spent fifteen months touring across the U.S. with Missoula Children's Theatre as an actor/director. After another year of artistic exploration and self-discovery in both Virginia and Wyoming, Ferguson returned to Richmond and served as Assistant to the Managing Director at Virginia Repertory Theatre. Ferguson has also kept close ties with the University of Richmond Department of Theatre and Dance, serving as Assistant Director for several departmental productions.

When asked about his new appointment, Ferguson stated, "I am excited to be joining the Firehouse Theatre family alongside Joel Bassin and the rest of the accomplished staff. I look forward to the creative journey and new adventures ahead."

Producing Artistic Director Joel Bassin said, "Firehouse is fortunate to have Adam on our team. His energy, talent, and enthusiasm for new work are great assets that will help Firehouse thrive."

Currently in its 21st Season and located in former Station House No. 10, Firehouse produces contemporary plays in its intimate 110-seat space.
